Ocean thoughts

Murmurs of green, 
like an eternal heartbeat.

I don’t simply want to sit back 
and admire the motion.

I don’t only want to feel it 
curl around my ankles, 
like a friendly kitten. 

I long to be submerged, 
to remember, again and again, 
that I am baptized and held 
by His forever love.
