Numinous
Sometimes I just need to look at the sky

Numinous (NOO-min-us, adj.) Filled with a sense of the presence of divinity. When I have grown sick of ambition, of self-obsession, I stand beneath the boughs of a twilight sky. I stare into the rose-blue waters of the heavens, flecked with stars drawn by my Father’s finger. I think of Abraham, and the cosmic promise he received on a cold desert night. I think of Christ, crying out in the garden beneath a silent moon. I shiver at my smallness, at my belovedness. I say nothing, and listen to the song of spheres.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”
—Psalm 19:1-4 (NIV)

Thank you. Good use of the word numinous, I've recently become aware of it. The root word numen from Latin was used by early Church fathers to combat pagan polytheism by pointing to one ultimate Creator God.
This touched me deeply🙏💗
